[CATL FAW Battery Co., Ltd. invests 200 million yuan in technological transformation to expand 10 GWh power battery capacity] CATL FAW Battery Co., Ltd. was established on January 31, 2019, jointly funded by CATL and FAW Group. It is mainly engaged in the development, production, sales, and provision of related after-sales and technical consulting services for lithium-ion batteries, power batteries, ultra-large-capacity energy storage system (ESS) batteries, and battery systems. It is understood that CATL FAW Battery Co., Ltd. has constructed the CATL FAW Battery Project (with an annual production capacity of 10 GWh), the CATL FAW Battery Production Line Expansion Project with an annual production capacity of 20 GWh, and the Gravure Printing Workshop and Ancillary Supporting Project in the Economic Development Zone of Xiapu County, Ningde, Fujian. Upon completion, the entire factory will achieve an annual production scale of 30 GWh for lithium-ion batteries. This technological transformation aims to expand the capacity of the CATL FAW Battery Project with an annual production capacity of 10 GWh, with an investment of 200 million yuan.
